Snake Bite
Snake season is upon us soon. So it is once again time for me to share some snake bite info that I have shared on social media a time or two: June 12, 2020 – 11 pm (or around that time…) Mom got bitten by a snake today. My dad is a couple states away, driving a new fire truck home for the local volunteer fire department. Around 9:15 this evening my brother called telling us that Mom had just been bit. I woke Zach up, and sent him over to mom’s house next-door. Then spent the next hour trying to soothe and help the children go to sleep, well calling my siblings, and answering questions from various family members. Each time I had the kids settled down, and almost asleep someone else would call, and the kids would hear me giving what little info I had, and they would get upset about Grandma again. Thank goodness for melatonin! Without it I don’t think the kids would have fallen asleep before now. We live an hour and a half away from the nearest hospital. An hour and 45 minutes...
